The Three Ds

It took me more that 15 minutes  just to adjust the position and the size of the picture. The new blogger's 'insert image' format has some cons there. I was unable to re-size the picture with a custom width x height. Anyway, I'm not here to babble about blogger's new features. I'm here to talk about my two nephews and niece. 

Introducing, the Three Ds! They are Wan Muhammad Darwish (9), Wan Nur Diyanah (6) and the youngest one, Wan Muhammad Darimi (3). You guys want to know more about them? Keep on reading then. I actually have the pleasure of them answering several questions for you guys.

Who are you and what do you do?

Darwish: You can call me Darwish. I'm 9 years old, what do you think I'm doing? I'm a primary school student of course.

Diyanah: I am Princess Diyanah.

Darimi: Bubby!

What work do you most enjoying doing?

Darwish: Err.. Playing games. Watching cartoons, Ben 10 mostly.

Diyanah: Sleeping? Opps. My bad. I'm a princess. Of course the most enjoying thing that I've done is.. err.. giving back to the society. Yeah, charity work.

Darimi: Bubby! Bubby!

What's your scariest experience?

Darwish: Having had to battle with  the horrifying zombies in Plant Vs Zombies games.

Diyanah: Homaigad! There was one time, I saw a cockroach when I was in the bathroom. It was the scariest moment eva (in diva mode)!. Someone please clean the bathroom please?!

Darimi: Bubby?

What makes you angry?

Darwish: The pigs in the Angry Birds game? They are really annoying and always pissed me off.

Diyanah: Again, I'm a princess. You see. I cannot get angry. Hehe. Can someone clean the bathroom?! How many time I have to yell?! Homaigad! (Errr???)

Darimi: Bubby.

What superpower would you have and why? And Darimi, please don't just answer 'Bubby'. It's getting annoying.

Darwish: I want the Ben 10's Omnitrix. Is it count as superpower? Hehe! I want to have the powers of the aliens!

Diyanah: The power to turn an ugly face like yours to a beautiful one. Should I tell why? (Errr?)

Darimi: Bubby! Bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby bubby. Nah.

Professionally, what's your goal?

Darwish: Manchester United?

Diyanah: What kind of question is that? I'm a lady!

Darimi: Stop asking us lame question. It's getting ridiculous.

Err.. That's all for now. Suddenly the three of them wanted to go to the toilet at the same time.

1 kg = ? pound

Lately, I love to watch "The Biggest Loser" at Hallmark Channel (702). Although it is the repeat one, I still enjoy watching it.

The weight loss in this series is measured in pound (lb). But in our country, we already familiarized ourselves with the SI system, which use kilogram (kg). Do you guys know how many pounds equal to one kg? Here:

1 kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds

That one I found from Google. It is the same when I calculate it again with my calculator. So, after this, whenever you watch "The Biggest Loser", u may calculate how many kg that the contestant lose during that particular week.

P/s - Really impressed with a contestant who lost 26 pounds in one week which equal to 11.8kg (26/2.205). Giler ar!

Something About Dog

Generally, I hate dog. But there are also some exceptions. I love to see (not to touch) a clean dog, walking at the street with its owner. The small one of course. Not the big, black dog. That one, aku memang akan geli sampai bila2 (how to write this sentence in English?). Hahaha!

I also like to watch trained dog in action. For example, below are some captured images about a well-trained dog, taking care of its owner. Tengok la.

Amazing right! The dog looks very clean also.

How To Capture Scenes From TV Series With GOM Player

Since Mdm Dilla asked me to teach her how to capture scenes from tv series, I think it is better for me to do the tutorial instead of explaining just with words. Hehe! No worries. It's easy!

STEP 1

You need to download the GOM player of course. GOM player is a free software. You can download it here (credit to download.com). It is a very good multimedia player. I even set it as my default player for my computer. After downloaded it, install and try to run it.

STEP 2

After you run the player, right click, go to Video> Advance Screen Capture.



STEP 3

A new window will pop out. In this window, you can see the setting for the output (the scenes that you already captured) and also other option for 'capture'. Change the directory according to your preference. In my opinion, it is always easier to just set the output file to the 'desktop'. It will be easier for you to find the file there.

STEP 4

The setting is actually already complete. You can just hit the 'CTRL + E' button to any scene that you want to capture. The output will be at the directory that you set for the previous step.

STEP 5

There is also another option instead of hitting the 'CTRL' and 'E' button simultaneously.

What you can do is that, right click on the player. Go to Preference>Keyboard>Add. Another window will pop out. At the 'Command', search for 'CAPTURE_Save Current Screen'. Then, add a short key.

There are 5 short keys available, SPACE, ENTER, BACKSPACE, ESC and TAB. In my opinion, it is better to choose either BACKSPACE or TAB because the ENTER button already been set to enlarge the screen of the window, the SPACE button is use to pause and play the media and ESC is use to close the player. Personally, I choosed BACKSPACE for my 'Capture' button.

Additional info - How To Capture the Current Screen With Subtitle?

STEP 1

Firstly of course you need to download the subtitle first. There are a lot of subtitle's websites on the net and after exploring most of the subtitle's websites, I think that tvsubtitles.net has the complete database of subtitles ever.

STEP 2

After you downloaded the sub, try to open it with a notepad. You will see all the script in the notepad.

STEP 3

Next, rename your subtitle's file with the same name with your media file (becareful not to change the extension of the subtiles. The default extension is '.srt').


STEP 4

Then, play your media file with GOM Player. Walla! The subtitles is embeded with your media file. If you want to be more advance, you can change the setting for the subtitle. Simply right click on the player, go to Preferences>Subtitles. There you can actually change the font or the color of the subtitles.

I Saw Someone... Or Something.. Huh?!

It was already 10 minutes pass midnight.
I went to the garage,
which located at Block E,
of Mahallah Ali,
to inspect my friend's motorcycle,
which he left,
and told me to look after it.

On my way back home,
I saw someone,
He was sitting,
at the center of the futsal court,
doing nothing.

I looked back once.
Then I looked twice.
What was he doing?
Sitting alone at the center of the court,
after midnight?
Was he,
frustrated because of something?
Was he,
crying?

Or..

Was he, really a 'he'?
Or an 'it'?

Argh!
Takutnyer.

Hahahaha!

Just kidding. That was a guy, talking to a phone, i think. Probably searching for a privacy, to talk to his girlfriend or something. I didn't really care. I just walked by him. By the way, my room is just near the court and it wasn't dark at all at that time. Nothing to be scared about.

Anyway, this is a true story. The guy really sitting alone in the middle of the court. Huhu~ Scary ker? Nah~!

Where have I been for the past 4 days?

Wah! Where have I been? Nowhere la.

I just busy updating Caklempongiium's blog. I changed the new layout (I didn't make it myself but I found a hard time searching for the suitable one). However, I did edit the header. I put some bonang pictures in the header (as in the picture below).

It was a tiring job. Uploading all the pictures really took some of my time, but it was worth it. It is something that I can do before I leave IIUM. Ha, sedey2.

One question. From the sign above, what is the name written in the Brush script (the kind-of-italic font)? FYI, I mispronounced it for the past three years. I just discovered the actual name last Sunday.

And, the answer is....

Yes! It's ANSR Niaga? Anyone got it correct? No?

Anyone thought it is ARUS Niaga? If it is so, then you are with me. As I mentioned before, for the past three years, I thought it was ARUS Niaga. Muahahaha!

ANSR Niaga is actually the name for Mahallah Siddiq's kiosk. The signage was just placed outsite the kiosk in this semester. If the owner didn't put the name in non-Brush Script font, I will never knew the real name of the kiosk. FYI, the name tagged on the goods was in Brush Script (as above). So, that's is why I thought the name is ARUS Niaga.

I prefer to go to this kiosk compared to Mahallah Ali's altough I am actually live in Mahallah Ali. Why? The goods are more variety to choose and the price is more reasonable at ANSR Niaga.

28 Posts. Finally!

Finally, 28 posts for 28 days in February. Quite tired but happy at the same time because I achieved my goal for this time.


Gonna relax for one night. Tomorrow InsyaAllah I will post something for the 1st day of March 2009.

Please, cover your face when you are about to sneeze. A lot of virus (plus the smell) will be spreaded if you don't do that.

Do you know that one of the duty for a Muslim to another is to pray for other Muslim after he/she is sneezed?

Engitex '09

To be honest, this year Engineering technology Exihibition (EngiTex) was a little bit boring. Sorry if anyone get offended by my comment but this is the truth. Maybe because of the budget limits, the managements. Oh, I don't know.

My roomate was devastated because he is about to enter the Exporace (not a typo, mmg EXPOrace) before it was canceled for the reason of not enough participants to make it as a race. Another friend of mine said that up till last night (Friday, the night before the race), only 4 groups were registered for the race. Hmm... What happen? Last year, there were about twenty groups that joind the race. My group (with Fiza Hanif) was one of it. Hmm, lack of publicity I guess?

About the PC Fair, oh wait, actually there is no PC Fair this year. So sad.. My roomate (read his post about PC Fair here) and I was very excited to go to the PC FAIR (or what they called as DigiTex Fair this year), and unfortunately, it was not there. The so-called DigiTex Fair was just consist of 4 to 5 booths (see pictures below) that they just place at the CAC's pantry, near to the place where the LAN Party was held. 4 to 5 booths only? It was not even a "fair".

However, there are also some positive aspects that I found throughout the Exhibition was held. First of all, during Autogala, there were some Suksis reprentative that control the entrance of the outsiders. The outsiders without proper dress will not be able to enter the spectacle. The committee even place some banners about the dress code. Bagus2. This year, they were more sensitive in term of Islamic aspects.

In addition, this year, the EngiTex's committee had organized a Photography Workshop. Something different compared to previous year punya EngiTex.

Hmm, whatever it is, there are still some room for improvement. Yg baik jadikan tauladan, yg buruk jadikan sempadan. Yg tak cukup, tambah lagi bagi cukup in the future.

Dah ar. Malas nak merepek panjang2.

It is already at the end of February

My final sem is about to finish. Got one to two month left.

Hmm, am I really gonna miss IIUM? Ntah ler.

Because of all the hard time that my fyp is giving me, I really wanna grad as soon as possible but at the same time, I am actually feel really hard to leave the campus because there are also some memorable things that I don't want to forget. For example, Caklempong. I really love this club. I love to be a part of IIUM Caklempong Musical Group. Really gonna miss playing caklempong in the future. Tapi xper, I already told them that if they don't have enough people to play for a show, I will be happy to join them, Lucky for me since my home is not so far from IIUM.



K ar. I have to write 8 more posts to fulfill this blog's corum for month of Febraury.

An Apple a day?

One of my lecturers, Dr Yumi, said that we actually have to eat 5 portions of veges/fruits everyday if we really want to live a healthy life. 5 portions? Muak la~

Some people asked me, where did I get all the cute smileys in the shoutbox?

Now (as I promised to Miss Ricca), I will try my very best to teach you guys how to do it. It is very easy!

STEP 1:

For those who don't have the shoutbox yet, you need to download it first. There are two commonly used shoutboxs, Cbox and Shoutmix (click the name to go to the respective website). FYI, I'm using both since I have two blogs and in my opinion, I think that Cbox is better than Shoutmix because it allows you to add the customizable smileys as many as you want while Shoutmix allows ten smileys only . Okeh, after you get the codes, you can proceed to STEP 2.

STEP 2:

If you are using Shoumix, log in and go to "Display". Choose "Smileys" as in the figure.



For Cbox user, go to "Options" and select "Smileys".


STEP 3:

Go to www.anikaos.com. This website provides hundreds of smileys that you need.


Choose any gif smileys that you want. Right click on the image and choose "Copy Image Location" for Mozilla Firefox or "Copy Shortcut" if you are using Internet Explorer.





STEP 4:

Paste the link on the space provided as in the images below:



Don't forget to fill in the "Code" column. Just write any word that describe the smileys. E.g. "Happy".

STEP 5:

Repeat STEP 3 and 4 for as many as you want (if you are using Cbox). For Shoutmix user, you can only add 10 customizable smileys.

Save the settings and walla, you already have cute smileys in your shoutbox.

Don't forget give it a try!!

Dinner + Twisties

I just love to have my meal with snacks. For example, Koew Tiaw Goreng Mamak and Twisties. Sometime I even eat my Nasi with Twisties. Sedap.



Weird right? Ntah ler, maybe because I used to eat Nasi with Fish Crackers (Keropok). But then, at my hostel, there is no Keropok. Hmm, I have to have something crunchy in my meal. Then, I improvise a little, eat with Twisties (or SuperRing) instead.

Anyone love to try? Sedap~ Hahahaha!

Whateva!

Hahahaha! You guys should totally watch this video. It is about an adorable baby girl with an attitude, the "Whateva!" attitude. My friend sent me this video to me through LAN. However I managed to search in in YouTube.

So cute right? Especially when she was doing her hand and also her eyes (the eyes looking sideways and the hand up). Planning to teach my niece to do something like that also. Giler ar. Nanti got scolded by my sister. Hahaha!

I personally like to do the "whatever" thingy to some of my annoying friends. Occasionally! Not at all time or that will make me the one who being annoy.

Hahaha! My first template for this blog only lasted for 1 week. Hmm, I decided to change it because the color was almost the same with my main blog. See pictures below:



I found the new template (the purple bg..) here and I just love it. Simple but really catch my eyes. Thank you suckmyolly!

I love template with black in color for the entry background and got light color in contrast for the whole background. Is it nice? Is it too girlie? Nah right? Ok, as usual, please comment.
